Visual Performance through Design
CSTR8 Golf Technology continued to look at the performance of the putter. The material was first, then came overall weight of the putter head design. Making the face of the putter head larger accelerated performance. CSTR8 Golf Technology will break down the benefits of a larger putter face in coming posts. The R&D in this area of truly started the beginning of a revolution in design and performance.
To finish off the design of the CSTR8 putter, we had to create a visual look. Why? If we return to the first two posts CSTR8 Golf Technology shared it groundbreaking Vision Fit Technology. Let us examine the truth behind Vision Fit Technology. The putter head is being opened or closed based on the player's vision. The player would except this look for a few rounds of golf, but within 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) the putter would be out of the player's bag. Why, because 2 critical issues arose. First the player could not look at the putter once it was behind the golf ball. The player has been taught the square the face of the putter up to the ball. It would look open or closed at address. Second the player would self-adjust the putter in their brain causing the adjustment to be voided. This was a major obstacle.
The solution came through the United States Golf Association (USGA) guidelines in manufacturing. The guidelines stated, “that the alignment line scored in the top of the putter could be lifted off the top surface of the putter.” This changed the technology of the putter. The visual this gave the player eliminated the face alignment completely. The process from taking the player from a putter to an athlete delivering performance is all about vision, CSTR8 Golf Technology had designed visual performance.
To understand this, I will create a picture for you. As individuals, we see in 3D. Our right eye takes in information, our left eye takes in information and our brain put it together to see objects and their definition. Through Vision Fit Technology CST8 Golf Technology adjusts the putter to your vision. The player would perform at a level they had never achieved but it was short live because the brain was viewing something that looked off. (not square) The solution was in lifting the alignment line off the top surface of the putter. Remember right eye, left eye, brain puts it together. The alignment line being lifted off the top surface created a confidence for the player to perform. The brain picks up the first thing it views. In this case it was the raised line. The player is no longer concerned with the face of the putter. It is concerned with lining up the line on the putter with its intended start line.
